✅Proposed method of using cerium oxide:
Prepare the surface for polishing by washing it thoroughly and cleaning it of any particles that could scratch the polished element.
If you are polishing a windshield or a car headlight, protect the paint around the polished element with masking tape.
Prepare a polishing milk by mixing cerium oxide with water in a ratio of 70 ml of water to 100 g of cerium oxide. Mix the solution thoroughly.
For polishing, use felt tools at a maximum speed of 500-700 rpm.
Apply the polishing milk to the polishing felt and spread it over the polished surface.
Polish the scratches and the surface adjacent to them with slow, circular movements. Remember to control the heating of the polished surface and maintain the humidity of the polishing paste. If the paste is too dry, spray the felt with water.
Wipe the preparation with a cloth or paper towel to check the polishing effect. If the effect is not satisfactory, repeat the procedure.
